Pro Life Committee
Led by John O’Brien, our goal is to advocate for all Life issues, especially the Right to Life from conception to natural death. We also have a heart to promote adoption. We help promote the local 40 Days for Life prayer campaign.
We would welcome the opportunity to help promote the teachings of the Catholic Church on the Life Issues in a broader way in our Parish to invite all to embrace God’s gift of Life.
Education is the key.
Spiritual Life Committee
This committee works to establish Bible study, prayer and discussion groups, and assist with liturgical devotions in the parish. We are committed to fostering ongoing spiritual education and development particularly during the seasons of Advent and Lent. We are available to assist the Pastor in the Spiritual Enrichment needs of our Parish community. This committee is led by Cathy Vesterby, who has been a leader in various faith pursuits for over 20 years.
This committee promotes vocation awareness in the parish through concrete programs and events. They distribute and display vocation information sent to parishes by the diocesan vocations’ office. Promotion of vocations to the priesthood is stressed, however, the need for vocations to the Religious Life, diaconate and lay ministries is also part of the mission. Often working with diocesan seminarians, the committee makes parishioners aware of their paths to the priesthood.
