Our Ministry Team
Parish Secretary/Cemetery Manager
"I grew up in the Finger Lakes area and received all my sacraments at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Auburn, NY. God called my family and I to the Adirondack region and it has been a blessing to reside here and work at St. Mary's for over 13 years. Not only have I seen God actively working in my life, but also in our parishioners lives".
"I have always been a member of St. Mary's Parish. In the 1990's, God crooked His Finger at me and I said "Yes," and, after 5 years of formation, I was ordained a deacon. My wife Betty, and I graduated from St. Mary's Academy. I have four children and eight grandchildren. I am retired as Inventory Manager from Finch Pruyn Paper Co.
I have always been active in St. Mary's Parish ministries as Parish Council President, and served on various council committees, a Faith Formation teacher, and RCIA coordinator".
"I am a life-long parishioner of Saint Mary's. I attended faith formation and was confirmed in the church in 2007. I was active in both the children's choir and youth ministry here growing up. Over the past 10 years, I have taught middle and high school faith formation classes. I currently work in Gloversville, New York as a Special Education High School History teacher. Two years ago, I was the interim Youth Minister, and I am looking forward to getting back into the role."
Faith Formation Primary Grades
"My family joined St Mary's parish about 20 years ago. My husband and I have 3 lovely children ages 16 to 24. We've both been Catechists, and involved in Faith Formation for over 15 years. I was blessed to have taught 2nd grade for many years. About 3 years ago, at the end of the last session of the year, I was feeling so joyful. After Mass, while still in church, I said to my daughter : 'If I had to do it all over again, I'd like do this' ( teach the Faith). Later that summer, while having a conversation with Jo K., she asked if I'd be interested in running Sunday Morning Faith Formation. It's been 3 blessed years working with wonderful and faith-filled, co-workers, catechists, parents and children. Be careful what you say in church!"
Faith Formation Family Program Coordinator
"My blessed journey as a Pastoral Associates for Faith Formation started in 1991. The Pastor of St. Mary’s came to my 2nd grade SMSA classroom and ask me to rebuild the parish’s program. My responsibility was to share my faith with the children Pre-K through Confirmation. My favorite part of this assumed mission is the Family Faith Formation Program".
Director of Sacred Music
"I have been at St. Mary's since the first Sunday in Advent 2019, but my entire adult life, from the time I was a high school senior through the past 40 years, I have been a church organist. This has been my passion: God and music. I enjoy being a part of St. Mary's music ministry, and love the wonderful parishioners I've gotten to meet and work with. I'm hoping more will come forward and share their musical gifts with the congregation."
Rebuilt Program Coordinator
"I’ve been a member of St. Mary’s since my husband and I moved to Glens Falls in 2010. However, I didn’t get involved in our church until 2017 when I read two books that changed my spiritual journey: The Purpose Driven Life, by Rick Warren and The Circle Maker, by Mark Batterson.
I love being a part of our Rebuilt team and making changes to help reach the unchurched and dechurched in our community. I’m grateful that I get serve our community by doing God’s Work."
Social Media Manager
I have attended St. Mary's Church since my husband and I moved to the Glens Falls area in 2009. As we settled into the community, we became more involved in the Church. Our children began attending the Faith Formation program, and I started to teach in the program as well. After I joined a women's bible study, called "Walking With Purpose," I realized that I wanted to do more to serve St. Mary's.
Doing the Church's Facebook posts fell into my lap, and it evolved into planning and helping to create a new church website, and has continued to grow ever since. I hope to continue to serve the Parish I love, and help it to grow so our Catholic community can continue to thrive.
Administrator of Finances
I have been handling the finances here at St. Mary's since 2012. Prior to my work here, I worked at Stanton Nursing Home and Our Lady of Annunciation in Queensbury as a bookkeeper. My position here involves receivables, payables, payroll, the annual budget, and the end of the year financial report.
